The WREN Summit

Welcome to the annual Women's Research Engagement Network (WREN) Summit! This event is the first interdisciplinary research conference in the nation specifically focused on highlighting the achievements of undergraduate women. Our attendees join us for a day of events focused on female empowerment, women in academia, and celebrating the achievements of women at Northeastern. We hope you can join us!

Registration is Now Closed!

The WREN Summit is a mandatory event for WREN Scholars, Jumpstarts, and Leadership Team. However, registration is open to all Northeastern students, PI’s, professors, and outside attendees! Continue scrolling for more about our speakers and schedule!

Keynote Speaker

Every year, the WREN Summit invites a female-aligned Northeastern faculty member to give a keynote talk to kick off our conference!

Our 2024 Summit Keynote Speaker is Dr. Cynthia Hajal! Dr. Hajal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Northeastern University. Her research interests are at the intersection of engineering and cancer biology, developing tissue engineered models of tumors to study cancer progression, drug delivery, and treatment resistance.
